Birgit Neumann is a Professor of English Literature/Anglophone Studies at Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf since 2014, with leadership roles including Head of Department (since 2016) and Principal Investigator at the International Graduate Centre for the Study of Culture (2006-2012).
