About
Behnaz Ranjbar is a Scientific Associate and Research Assistant at the Chair of Embedded Systems, Ruhr-Universität Bochum, Germany. She holds a Ph.D. (Dr. Ing.) from TU Dresden (2022) and has prior research experience at Sharif University of Technology. Her research focuses on Real-Time System Design, Reliable and Fault-Tolerance Systems, Low-Power Multi-Core Embedded Systems, and Machine Learning-driven optimization. She leads the DFG-funded Lean-MICS project, which explores cross-layer reliability management in embedded systems. Her work spans over 20 peer-reviewed articles, with a strong emphasis on mixed-criticality systems and timing analysis. She collaborates with global institutions like Purdue University and is affiliated with the Embedded Systems team at RUB.
Her educational background includes a Master’s (2014) and Bachelor’s (2012) in Computer Engineering from Sharif University and Amirkabir University of Technology, respectively.
Publications highlight her contributions to ML-based timing estimation, fault-tolerant scheduling, and power-aware resource management. Current projects emphasize cross-layer reliability improvements and agent-based learning for timing constraints. Grants include DFG support for Lean-MICS (2024–2027). She actively participates in conferences like DATE and DAC, focusing on real-time embedded systems challenges.
