Avantika Bhardwaj

Avantika Bhardwaj is a Researcher at the School of Allied Health, University of Limerick. Her work focuses on Implementation science and Healthy ageing, particularly addressing barriers to evidence-based practices in osteoarthritis management. She holds a PhD (expected 2025), an MSc from the University of Glasgow (2020), and a Bachelor's from Purdue University (2019).

Her research explores healthcare professional and patient perspectives on exercise programs for musculoskeletal conditions, emphasizing implementation outcomes and digital health solutions. Key projects include evaluating the GLA:D® program and analyzing barriers to online exercise treatments for osteoarthritis.

Dr. Bhardwaj has presented at conferences such as SPHeRE, HIST, and ISCP, and received the 2024 Thesis-in-Three award. Her work contributes to UN SDGs related to health and well-being.
