Mairead Conneely is a Researcher at the Ageing Research Centre within the School of Allied Health at the University of Limerick. She holds a PhD (2023) and has extensive experience in geriatric care, sports physiotherapy, and healthcare interventions for older adults. Her work focuses on improving outcomes for elderly patients through physiotherapy-led interventions, emergency department care optimization, and community-based exercise programs.
Education: B.Sc. (Hons) in Physiotherapy (Trinity College Dublin, 2000), Masters in Sports Physiotherapy (Curtin University, 2004), Postgraduate Diploma in Health Sciences (NUIG, 2014), and PhD (2023).
Research interests include emergency department transitions, chronic pain management, occupational therapy interventions, and systematic reviews of healthcare interventions.
