Astrid Van den Bossche is a Senior Lecturer in Computational Consumer Culture at the Department of Digital Humanities, King's College London. She also chairs the post-graduate ASB Exam Board at DDH and previously served as Director of Learning and Teaching at Goldsmiths' Institute of Management.

Her research focuses on computational methods for studying consumer culture, historical and contemporary advertising, digital platforms, and children's economic agency. She leads the Digital Futures Institute Fellowship (2027) on digital childhood and co-convenes research networks on Enchantments in the History of Capitalism and Computational Consumer Culture.
Recent publications explore genre remediation on YouTube, humorous advertising responses, and digital economic imaginary during the pandemic. She contributes to the KingsCAT tool for social media analysis and collaborates with the Digital Humanities Game Lab.
