April Meldrum

April Meldrum is a Professor of Law at the Duncan School of Law, Lincoln Memorial University. She previously served as Anderson County Tennessee Juvenile Court Judge (2006–present) and practiced as a trial attorney specializing in personal injury, domestic relations, juvenile law, and social security disability. She co-authored Tennessee Family Law: Cases and Problems, the first textbook focused on Tennessee family law.

Research Focus: Domestic Relations, Juvenile Law, Adoption Law, Professional Responsibility, and Torts. She pioneered the Campus Court initiative, a collaborative legal education program with local agencies.

• Recognition from Tennessee Department of Children’s Services

Professional Affiliations: Tennessee Bar, Tennessee Supreme Court, U.S. Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, and U.S. Supreme Court. Served as Secretary of the Legislative Committee for Tennessee Juvenile & Family Court Association.
