Antonio Gómez

Antonio Gómez is an Associate Professor in the Department of Spanish & Portuguese and serves as the Director of Graduate Studies. His work focuses on critical literary and cultural analysis within Latin American contexts.

Education

• Ph.D., 2007, University of Pittsburg

Research interests center on narratives of dislocation, particularly from Cuba and Argentina; new poetics of documentary in Latin America; and the writing of recent history in postnational contexts. His teaching includes courses and seminars on Latin American literature, cinema, and cultural studies.
