Anthony (Tony) Purvis is a Professor and Associate Chair of Interior Design at the Savannah College of Art and Design since 2021. He has held academic roles including Visiting Assistant Professor (2013–15) and Adjunct Professor (2012–13) at Florida State University. A NCIDQ Certified interior designer, Purvis combines academic leadership with extensive professional experience in corporate, healthcare, and residential design.

His research explores the intersection of interior design and conflict mediation, examining how spatial configurations influence human interaction and consensus-building. He has also pioneered collaborations between science and the arts in design contexts, particularly in research laboratory environments.

His professional projects at Carson Guest, Inc.
