Anselm Reyle is a Professor of Painting in the Department of Painting/Drawing at the Hochschule für bildende Künste Hamburg (HFBK Hamburg) since autumn 2009. He studied painting at the Akademie der Künste in Karlsruhe and currently lives and works in Berlin. His artistic practice focuses on experimental processes using materials like PVC film, car body paint, putty, acrylic, mirrors, concrete, and LED lights, often incorporating found objects and painterly gestures to critique and reimagine artistic clichés.
