Annie Lee-Zimerle is an Associate Professor of Art and Coordinator of the Kate Cheney Chappell '83 Center for Book Arts at the University of Southern Maine. She holds roles in the Department of Art and the Office of the Provost within the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences.

Her interdisciplinary practice explores themes of cultural transition, domesticity, and the evolution from childhood to adulthood through narrative-driven prints, book arts, and paintings. Her work has been exhibited nationally/internationally, including solo shows at Springfield Museum of Art, Kent State University, and Paper Circle Southeast Ohio’s Center for Paper and Book Arts. She has held residencies at the Cleveland Institute of Art and MASS MoCA, and was featured on PBS’s The Art Show.
Her art is collected by institutions like the Dayton Metro Library and Harold Washington Public Library. She oversees the Kate Cheney Chappell Center for Book Arts, located in Glickman Family Library’s Special Collections.
