Anne Carncross

Anne Carncross is a Professor at the Bower School of Music & the Arts, Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU). She holds a BFA in Theater Design and Production from the State University of New York at Fredonia and an MFA in Theatre Production from Florida State University. Her expertise spans Technical Direction, Lighting Design, and Production Management.

Research and teaching interests include Green Theatre practices, Technical Theatre Pedagogy, and Theatre Design. She has presented at conferences such as the Southeastern Theatre Conference and the United States Institute for Theatre Technology, focusing on topics like stage management techniques, technical theatre fundamentals, and educational strategies for theatre professionals.

Carncross teaches courses in stagecraft, technical theatre, and theatre production at FGCU. Her professional engagements include roles in stage management, lighting design, and production management. Personal interests listed are kayaking, camping, travel, and a fondness for the color orange.
