Dr. Anne Brædder is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication and Arts at Roskilde University, Denmark. Her work focuses on temporal aspects of environmental and societal issues, particularly in 20th-century Denmark, with expertise in memory studies, public history, and oral history. She holds a PhD from Aarhus University (2016) and has held academic positions including coordinator of the 'Uses of the Past' research program (Aarhus University, 2016–2019) and participation in the Baltic Sea History Project (2018–2019).
Her research explores intersections between environmental history, memory culture, and historical consciousness. Notable areas include critical analysis of Danish environmental discourse in the 1960s–70s, labor history narratives, and the role of oral history in museums and reenactment. She has contributed to transnational educational initiatives, including an online Baltic Sea Region history course and teaching in Roskilde University’s Global Humanities program.
Brædder’s work engages with UN Sustainable Development Goals related to climate action and sustainable communities.
