Anna Zusman

Anna Zusman is an Associate Professor of Art and Design at Southern Arkansas University. Born in the former Soviet Union, she brings a multicultural perspective to her figurative artwork that employs visual metaphors and surreal elements to comment on society. She holds a BFA in Illustration from Rhode Island School of Design and an MFA in Painting from San Francisco Art Institute.

Her creative research explores the intersection of traditional drawing techniques with digital media, particularly using iPad Pro for digital illustration. She actively creates zines and participates in national art exhibitions and festivals.

Zusman has received multiple awards including selection for the Small Works on Paper touring exhibition (2024), Boynes Emerging Artist Award Finalist (2022), and SAAC Honorable Mention (2022). Her work has been featured in publications like Direct Art Magazine and Cordite Poetry Review.
