Alex Gerasev is a practicing illustrator, painter, printmaker, and muralist whose work bridges fine art and commercial design. His artistic style is characterized by bold lines, exquisite craftsmanship, and surreal, imaginative imagery that explores the drama of everyday life through fantastical elements like flying dogs and stranded ships. His field of interest spans illustration, printmaking, public art, and visual narrative. He has exhibited internationally and his work is held in numerous public and private collections, including the Boston Public Library, Boston Athenæum, Columbia University, and the Pushkin Museum.
Alex has collaborated with a diverse range of clients such as Honeywell, Springer Publishing, UMass Chan Medical School, and the Epstein Hillel School, producing illustrations, logos, brochures, and event collateral. His work in public art includes a prominent mural on Shirley Ave in Revere, MA, reflecting the city’s past, present, and future.
