Anna Maria Connealy

Anna Maria Connealy is a Professor of English Language and Translation at the University of International Studies of Rome (UNINT) since 2017, and a Native English Language Expert at the Department of Foreign Languages, Literatures and Cultures of the University of Roma Tre since 2001. She holds a BA in Italian and French from the University of Kent (1980–1984) and a TEFLA Diploma from St. Giles College (1990).

Her research focuses on language pedagogy, translation across disciplines, and cultural mediation. She has developed specialized English courses for legal, motor sciences, and nutritional fields, collaborating with institutions like the University of Rome 'Foro Italico' and the Ministry of Justice. Her translation work spans technical, literary, and cinematic domains since 1984.

Connealy has held continuous academic roles since 1986, including curriculum design for ESF-funded university placement programs (SOUL) and teacher training initiatives in Lazio. She managed summer English courses in London (1986) and founded a film-focused publishing house (1993–1999). She has contributed to legal English education at LUISS and LUMSA universities and served as an examiner for judicial magistrate competitions.

Her professional network includes collaborations with RAI-ERI, ANICA Cinema d'Oggi, and regional educational frameworks like Law 53/2000. She has extensive experience in both traditional and digital language education, emphasizing cross-cultural competency.
