Anna Chisholm is a Professor at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design (MCAD), specializing in art history with emphases on contemporary art, critical theory, and critical race theory. She holds a PhD and MA in Art History from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. Her work examines decolonization in art history education and explores African American art, early modern visual culture in the Atlantic world.
Dr. Chisholm has presented at major conferences including the College Art Association, American Studies Association, and Performance Studies International. Her publications appear in the Journal of American Studies and the International Review of African American Art. She actively contributes to curriculum reform initiatives, such as her 2020 Faculty Biennial Forum Presentation titled Decolonizing Art History Curriculum.
