Ann Bartges

Ann Bartges serves as an Assistant Professor of Visual Arts and Director of the Emery Community Arts Center at the University of Maine at Farmington. She teaches digital photography, video, and 2D design, and her artwork has been exhibited internationally in the US, Europe, and Australia. As director of Emery, she curates exhibitions addressing contemporary issues, fostering dialogue between UMF students and Western Maine residents.

• BFA in Visual Arts, Alfred University (2005)

Bartges has held artist residencies at Cite Internationale des Arts (Paris), Institut fur Alles Mogliche (Berlin), and Vermont Studio Center. Her curatorial work emphasizes community engagement through thematic exhibitions rooted in current events.

Labs/Teams: Directs the Emery Community Arts Center, a hub for collaborative artistic and educational initiatives.
