Angelia Gibson is a Professor of Chemistry at Maryville College, teaching Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, and General Chemistry. She co-directs the Scots Science Scholars program, supported by a National Science Foundation grant, which has increased STEM graduation rates and student leadership in organizations like the Student Government Association, Tri-Beta Biology Honor Society, and the American Chemical Society.

Her research focuses on structural biology (protein-protein interactions) and STEM education strategies. Previously, she worked as a medical writer and editor at Physicians Education Resource (PER) and Cancer Information Group (CIG), contributing to peer-reviewed oncology journals.
