Angela Loyse

Dr. Angela Loyse is a Reader in Infectious Diseases at St George's, University of London, specializing in advanced HIV disease, cryptococcal meningitis, and health systems strengthening. She leads the End AIDS Action Group and served as Chief Investigator of the DREAMM project, which reduced HIV-related CNS infection mortality by 50% in African hospitals.

Her research spans clinical trials, implementation science, and policy advocacy, focusing on improving access to diagnostics and therapies in resource-limited settings. She developed the 'hub-and-spoke' model for advanced HIV care and contributed to the Global Advanced HIV Disease Toolkit.

Dr. Loyse holds advisory roles with DNDi and CHAI/Unitaid and teaches global health courses at SGUL and LSHTM. She received the 2022-2023 SGUL Best Research Publication Award for DREAMM results published in Lancet HIV.
