Angela Hodgkins

Angela Hodgkins is Senior Lecturer and Course Leader for BA (Hons) Integrated Working with Children and Families at University of Worcester. With NNEB qualification, her 20-year career includes work as nursery nurse, nanny, child-minder, learning support practitioner, and inclusion worker.

Holds MA in Education and PhD investigating empathy in early years profession. Research interests include childcare, special educational needs, and counseling approaches in educational settings.

Extensive teaching experience includes 12 years in FE colleges and 5 years as Foundation Degree Course Leader at Halesowen College before joining Worcester in 2014.
