Jill Harrison

Jill Harrison is an Associate Professor and Programme Leader for Early Years in the School of Education at the University of Greenwich, part of the Faculty of Education, Health and Human Sciences. She holds qualifications including NNEB, CertEd, BA Hons, and MSc. Her work spans over three decades in early years education across private, voluntary, health, and social service sectors.

Her research focuses on early years studies, including leadership in early years settings, policy implementation, and international educational partnerships. She currently leads the BA Hons Early Years and Early Years Initial Teacher Training (ITT) programs and oversees the Early Years programme at SEGi College Malaysia through academic partnerships. Previously, she held roles such as Programme Area Leader at Lewisham College, Lecturer at Bromley College, and manager of multiple nurseries across London.

Jill’s professional experience includes managing workplace nurseries, coordinating social service and hospital-based early years centers, and serving as a private nanny and maternity nurse. She actively engages in curriculum development and maintains a focus on practical, field-experienced educational strategies.
