Andrew Palermo is Professor of Music Theatre Choreography/Dance at University of California, Irvine's Claire Trevor School of the Arts. An accomplished director and choreographer, he has created works for Broadway (Allegiance, The Other Josh Cohen), Carnegie Hall, and international tours. With Taye Diggs, he co-founded dre.dance contemporary company. Palermo pioneers Creatively Able movement therapy for autism spectrum disorders and founded The SpringSpace digital theatre lab.
His research integrates performing arts with technology and special needs interventions. Commercial credits include Toyota industrials, Comedy Central's Stella, and Showtime Network promotions. As performer, he appeared in Broadway productions of Wicked and Annie Get Your Gun.
