Andrew Dean Mullen

Andrew Dean Mullen is a Professor of Education at Westmont College, located in Porter Center #3. His office hours are Fridays 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., with advance email预约 recommended. Dr. Mullen holds a Ph.D. in the history of education and history/social studies curriculum from Columbia University.

His research focuses on nationalism and cosmopolitanism in American education, children’s literature analysis, and the history of teaching history. He previously served as chair of the joint NCSS-Children’s Book Council Committee, which evaluates outstanding children’s books in history/geography. Before academia, he taught elementary education in Colorado Springs and history at the Collegiate School in Louisville.
