Andrea Mumm Trammell

Andrea Mumm Trammell is an Instructor of Harp at the Eastman School of Music (University of Rochester) and holds the Dr. Billy Graham Principal Harp Chair with the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra. She also serves as Lecturer of Harp at the University of North Carolina Greensboro (UNCG). Her roles include orchestral performance, soloist appearances, and pedagogical leadership.

Education:

• Bachelor of Music & Performer’s Certificate, Eastman School of Music
• Master of Music with Program Honors, Northwestern University
• Additional study under Sarah Bullen at Chicago College of Performing Arts

Research & Performance:

• Principal harpist for Charlotte Symphony, Colorado Music Festival, and guest performer with Atlanta Symphony, North Carolina Symphony, and Charleston Symphony
• Soloist in works like Debussy’s Danse sacrée et danse profane and Mozart’s Concerto in C Major
• Active in chamber music and orchestral repertory

Teaching & Service:

• Maintains a private teaching studio and adjudicates competitions
• Focuses on harp pedagogy and music education
