Amit P. Sheth

Amit P. Sheth is an Adjunct Professor of Computer Science at Wright State University's Department of Computer Science & Engineering. He holds a Ph.D. from Ohio State University (1985). His research focuses on Semantic Web technologies, including semantic web services, semantics-enabled networking, and applications in healthcare, bioinformatics, homeland security, and e-commerce.

Notable contributions include organizing AAAI Spring Symposia, ESWC Industry Forums, and international workshops on distributed applications. He has delivered keynote addresses at events such as the European Young Researchers Workshop on Service Oriented Computing and the IFIP/WG 12.5 Working Conference on Industrial Applications of Semantic Web.

Sheth was elected an IEEE Fellow in 2006 for contributions to information integration and workflow management. He leads initiatives at the Kno.e.sis Center, emphasizing interdisciplinary research in semantics-driven systems.
