Amin Rostami-Hochaghan is a Professor of Systems Pharmacology and Director of the Centre for Applied Pharmacokinetic Research (CAPKR) at the University of Manchester. He holds a PharmD (1987, Tabriz) and PhD (1996, Sheffield). He is a part-time secondee and Chief Scientific Officer at Certara USA Inc., focusing on biosimulation in drug development.
His research interests include systems biology applications in drug disposition, translational modeling (e.g., PBPK), precision dosing, and proteomics in clinical pharmacology. He has authored/co-authored over 300 articles (>23,000 citations, H-Factor >82), and was recognized as a Highly Cited Researcher by ISI and Stanford University.
Rostami-Hochaghan has been an invited speaker at >200 international meetings and co-founded Simcyp Limited (acquired by Certara). Awards include AAPS Fellowship (2013), JSSX Fellowship (2011), and the OSCAR Award (2009). He leads a team training PhD students in PKPD, PBPK, and precision dosing, with graduates in academia and industry.
He serves on editorial boards for journals like Pharmacometrics and Systems Pharmacology and holds leadership roles in organizations like ISoP and ISSX. His work contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals through advancements in drug development practices for diverse patient populations.
