Allison Van Buskirk

Allison Van Buskirk is an Assistant Professor at the University of Colorado Boulder, where she has worked for 7 years. She contributes to programs including INVST Community Studies, Puksta Scholarship, Leadership Studies Minor, Elementary Education, and CU Dialogues, focusing on equity-centered curriculum development and community leadership training.

• Education: B.A. in Communication and Certificate in Community Leadership from CU Boulder; M.A. in Contemplative Education from Naropa University.

Her research and teaching interests include fostering self-awareness, well-being, and collective liberation in educational settings. Prior to academia, she worked in youth development organizations as a community organizer, executive director, and non-profit consultant. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her son, hiking, cooking, and learning the banjo.
