Allison Higgins

Allison Higgins is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Nutrition and Public Health at Merrimack College's School of Nursing and Health Sciences. She also serves as Program Director for the MS in Health Promotion and Management program. Her expertise includes graduate-level instruction in health promotion, public health policy, capstone projects, and career development in health sciences.

Dr. Higgins holds a Doctor of Public Health (Dr.PH.) from Boston University, a Master of Education in Health Promotion and Behavior from the University of Georgia, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Providence College.

Her research and teaching focus on designing effective health promotion programs, analyzing public health policy impacts, and preparing students for professional roles in health sciences through capstone experiences and career guidance.

As Program Director, she oversees curriculum development and student success initiatives for the MS in Health Promotion and Management program, ensuring alignment with industry needs and academic excellence.
