Alice Pell is an International Professor and Professor Emerita of Animal Nutrition in the Department of Global Development at Cornell University's College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. She also holds an adjunct professorship in Global Development and serves as Dean’s Advisor for Global Livestock Health and Development in the College of Veterinary Medicine. Her work spans international development, education, and agriculture, with a focus on integrating agriculture and nutrition to address global food security challenges.
Education:

- M.S. and Ph.D. in Animal Nutrition from the University of Vermont
Research Interests: Pell’s research explores the intersection of agriculture, nutrition, and international development. She has led interdisciplinary projects in Kenya, Afghanistan, and Latin America, including a NSF-funded study on poverty and environmental degradation in the Kenyan highlands and the Rockefeller Foundation-funded African Food Security Training Program. Her work emphasizes sustainable agriculture, rural development, and policy interventions to combat both undernutrition and overnutrition.

Her global collaborations include roles at South African universities and leadership in Pan-American agricultural education initiatives.
