Alfred Ludwig

Professor Alfred Ludwig holds the Chair of Materials Discovery and Interfaces at Ruhr University Bochum (Faculty of Mechanical Engineering). He is the scientific director of the Center for Interfacially Dominated High Performance Materials (ZGH) and director of the Research Center Future Energy Materials and Systems (RC FEMS). His career spans mechanical engineering studies at the University of Karlsruhe, a Ph.D. in materials science, and leadership roles in advancing microtechnology and energy materials research.
