Andrea Kirsch

Prof. Dr. Andrea Kirsch leads the "Oxidic Functional Materials" group at the Faculty of Chemistry and Biochemistry, Ruhr University Bochum, and is affiliated with the Future Energy Materials and Systems Research Center. Her research bridges chemistry, physics, and materials science to develop advanced materials for energy applications.

Her work focuses on unraveling atomic, electronic, and microstructural evolution during material synthesis or under external stimuli using cutting-edge techniques at large-scale facilities like synchrotrons. Key research areas include
