Alexandra Coku is an American soprano and professor of singing at the University of Music Würzburg since winter semester 2019/2020, following her professorship at Trossingen University of Music from 2013. A graduate of Stanford University (English Literature) and Indiana University Bloomington (Master of Music), she refined her skills through masterclasses with Elly Ameling, Regine Crespin, and Professor Klesie Kelly-Moog.
Her performance career centers on baroque/classical repertoire, with notable roles including Handel's Agrippina at Zurich Opera, Mozart's Pamina (performed over 100 times across major European/American houses), and world premiere recordings like Dvořák's original Stabat Mater. She collaborates regularly with orchestras such as Boston Symphony and Munich Philharmonic, and appears at festivals including Lucerne Easter and Schwetzingen.
As an educator, she conducts singing masterclasses at institutions like Tongji University and Cologne University of Music, while also teaching breathing techniques for instrumentalists.
