Alex Wier is an Assistant Professor of Percussion and Area Head at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee's Music Department. He directs the Percussion Ensemble, Steel PANthers Steel Band, and Marimba Band while teaching applied percussion, methods, history, and literature. His roles include Percussion Director and Co-Director of the Community World Music Ensemble.
