Ahouva Shulman

Ahouva Shulman is an Associate Professor in the Department of Languages, Literatures and Linguistics at York University. She serves as the Undergraduate Program Coordinator for Jewish Studies and coordinates Hebrew language programs within the department. Her research focuses on Modern Hebrew Language and Biblical Hebrew, with additional expertise in linguistics and Semitic languages.

• PhD in Biblical Hebrew from the University of Toronto
• MA from the University of Toronto
• BA in Hebrew Literature from the Hebrew University, Jerusalem

Dr. Shulman teaches Modern Hebrew and actively contributes to language education initiatives. Her work bridges classical and contemporary Hebrew studies, emphasizing linguistic analysis and cultural context.
