Adwoa Onuora is an Associate Professor in the Department of Sociology at Trent University’s Durham Campus. She holds a Ph.D. from OISE/University of Toronto. Her research focuses on structures and systems that marginalize Black women, children, and 2SLGBTQ+ communities, emphasizing health equity, social justice, and arts-based methodologies. She integrates critical feminist and Afro-indigenous pedagogies into her teaching, encouraging students to critically analyze intersectional disparities in health outcomes and societal norms.
