Janet M. Conway is a Full Professor of Sociology at Brock University. Her research explores transnational social justice movements under globalization, focusing on transnational feminism, Indigenous organizing, and their implications for political thought and democratic life. She previously held the Canada Research Chair in Social Justice (2008–2018) and the Nancy Rowell Jackman Chair in Women’s Studies (2019–2021).
- Research Themes: Intersectional gender politics, social innovation, and the rise of right-wing movements in Canada and globally.
- Publications: Author of over 50 works, including three sole-authored books and co-editorship of Cross-border Solidarities: Feminist Perspectives and Activist Practices (2021).
