Adam Rapp is a Visiting Professor of Sales Management at Vlerick Business School and holds a Professorship in Marketing at Ohio University. He also serves as Executive Director of the Schey Sales Centre. His teaching spans institutions like Kent State University, Clemson University, and the University of Alabama, with international experience in Belgium, Greece, Colombia, Chile, China, and beyond.
Dr. Rapp earned his Doctorate in Marketing from the University of Connecticut and an MBA from Villanova University. His research focuses on B2B buyer-seller dynamics, salesperson performance, technology’s role in sales, and customer relationship management. He explores frontline employee ambidexterity and service satisfaction, contributing to academic journals and industry publications.
He received the Presidential Research Award and currently edits the Journal of Personal Selling and Sales Management. Before academia, he worked in market research with firms like Ecolab and Kimberly-Clark. At Vlerick, he teaches sales innovation and leads the Sales Club, emphasizing practical application of theoretical frameworks.
