Aaron Bonsall, PhD, OTR/L is an Associate Professor in the OT Programs within the College of Rehabilitative Sciences at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences. He joined the institution in 2021 and holds a PhD in Occupational Science from the University of Southern California (2013) and an MS in Occupational Therapy from Temple University (2005). His expertise spans pediatrics, family-centered care, and narrative approaches to occupational therapy.
Research interests include fathers' experiences of children with disabilities, family occupations, and the integration of theory into clinical practice. He has contributed to publications in occupational therapy, family studies, and disabilities studies. Dr. Bonsall previously practiced as an occupational therapist in school districts and the Navajo Reservation before transitioning to academia.
He has served as Treasurer and Communications Chair of the Society of the Study of Occupations: USA, advocating for occupational science. His teaching focuses on research methodologies and doctoral capstone mentorship, blending practical clinical experience with academic rigor.
