ADHAM MAKKIE

Assoc. Prof. Adham Makkie serves as Vice Chair in the Industrial Engineering Department at Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU), Faculty of Engineering. He holds a PhD, MS, and BS in Industrial Engineering from Middle East Technical University. His primary research interests focus on ergonomics, workplace safety, systems modeling, and design of experiments.

He teaches advanced courses including Systems Modeling and Simulation (IENG461), Design and Analysis of Experiments (IENG581), and Graduate Research Seminar (IENG598). He has supervised 6 theses, including PhD works on skill assessment for employability and musculoskeletal disorders analysis.

Prof. Makkie actively participates in academic governance as a member of the Faculty Executive Board and Council. His teaching responsibilities span both undergraduate and graduate levels, with courses emphasizing practical applications in industrial engineering methodologies.
