Dr. Šejma Aydin is an Associate Professor of Finance at the Department of Economics and Management, International University of Sarajevo. She serves as Graduate Coordinator for Economics (ECON), International Business and Finance (IBF), and Management (MAN) programs, as well as Vice-Dean for Academic and Students Affairs at the Faculty of Business Administration (FBA). She earned her Ph.D. in 2019 from the same institution.
Her research focuses on personal finance, financial literacy, consumer behavior, and entrepreneurship, often incorporating behavioral and environmental perspectives. Current research includes a project on green purchase intentions using the Theory of Planned Behavior and ecological concern frameworks, part of collaborative efforts like the DeepGreenInno initiative. She has contributed to projects such as FIPOBA, InterGen, and EIGP.
Her publications span topics like Islamic finance in the Balkans, post-pandemic Montenegrin economics, generational entrepreneurship differences, and gender quotas in Bosnian elections. She emphasizes interdisciplinary approaches to financial inclusion and sustainable development.
As a leader in academic administration, she oversees graduate programs and student affairs while maintaining active involvement in research teams exploring economic and policy challenges in the Western Balkans.
