İ. Karaca BAŞARAN, MD is a Professor of Plastic Surgery at İstanbul Şehir University. He completed his MD at Marmara University Faculty of Medicine (2003) and specialized in Plastic Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgery at Istanbul University. He advanced his expertise through international training programs including Harvard Medical School (Massachusetts General Hospital), Imperial College London, Temple Health (Fox Chase Cancer Center), and institutions in Brazil, Taiwan, and Switzerland. His career includes over 500 surgical procedures in the USA, collaboration with leading surgeons globally, and specialization in endoscopic facial aesthetics, breast reconstruction, post-weight loss body contouring, and migraine surgery techniques pioneered by Bahman Guyuron. He became a Professor in 2023.
