Özlem Oğuz is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Speech and Language Therapy, Faculty of Health Sciences, Uskudar University. She specializes in neurogenic and developmental communication disorders, with a focus on aphasia, stuttering, and cognitive-linguistic assessment tools.

Her research spans aphasia rehabilitation, stuttering, voice/swallowing disorders, and teletherapy applications. She has developed Turkish adaptations of cognitive screening tools like the Oxford Cognitive Screen.
