Özgür ASLAN is a full-time Lecturer at Artvin Çoruh University, Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Nursing, Turkey, where he has also served as Head of Department and Vice Director of the Vocational School between 2009 and 2020.

Research Interests: His scholarship lies at the intersection of nursing education, women’s health, infectious disease serology, critical thinking development, and healthy lifestyle behaviors. Dr. Aslan has conducted extensive work on leptospirosis seroprevalence among occupational risk groups, developed and validated scales measuring attitudes towards violence against women, and examined psychosocial factors affecting both nursing students and professionals.
Publication Profile: Across 29 peer-reviewed articles and 55 conference papers, his research spans microbiology, public health, nursing management, and educational assessment. Recent works emphasize antimicrobial resistance, longitudinal critical-thinking development, and healthy lifestyle behaviors among university students.

Collaborations & Teams: Over the past decade he has co-authored intensively with colleagues Yalçın Kanbay and Elif Işık, producing more than 40 joint publications and conference presentations focused on nursing education and public health issues.
