Özden Erdem is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Public Health Nursing, Faculty of Health Sciences, Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University. She previously worked as a Research Assistant at both Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University (2016-2022) and Marmara University (2018-2021). Erdem completed her PhD at Marmara University in 2021 with a thesis on applying the Transtheoretical Model to safe cycling behavior in adolescents, and holds a Master’s degree from Atatürk University focused on oral care for mucositis in chemotherapy patients.

- Research Focus: Behavioral change, safe cycling promotion, Faith Community Nursing, oral mucositis, violence, and health belief models
Her research has been published in SSCI and SCI-Expanded journals, with a focus on developing culturally adapted health scales, violence against women, and adolescent safety. Erdem has received awards for oral presentations at national and international nursing congresses, including first prize at the 7th Turkish Armed Forces Nursing Congress. She actively participates in scientific organizations like the Public Health Nursing Association and serves as Deputy Head of Department at Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University.
