Íde Corley is a Lecturer in English at Maynooth University, within the Faculty of Arts and Humanities. Her research focuses on postcolonial literatures, black cultural studies, gender studies, and queer theory. She co-edited Silence Would Be Treason: Last Writings of Ken Saro-Wiwa , a collection of Saro-Wiwa's detention letters, and has published extensively on African literature, same-sexuality, and human rights. She organized an ESF-funded workshop on same-sexuality in Nigeria and taught at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México as a Teaching Fellow.

Her work bridges literary analysis with social justice, particularly through engagement with marginalized voices in African and global contexts. She has interviewed prominent figures like Zanele Muholi and hosted visiting writers such as Abdulrazak Gurnah.
