Éva Szakos

Éva Szakos is a habilitated Associate Professor at the Department of Technical Pedagogy, Faculty of Technical Management and Business at Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME). She also holds positions at Eötvös Loránd University's Institute of Educational Sciences, Department of Andragogy and Cultural Theory. With a distinguished career spanning multiple Hungarian universities including Szent István University, she specializes in adult education, andragogy, and lifelong learning theory and practice.

Her educational background includes a Habilitation Doctor in Education from Eötvös Loránd University (2013), a PhD in Education from ELTE (2001), and certification as a high school teacher in chemistry and physics from Eötvös Loránd University (1982). She possesses advanced English and intermediate German language proficiency.

Dr. Szakos's research focuses on interdisciplinary approaches to adult learning, professionalization of adult education, lifelong learning policy frameworks, and innovative methodologies in vocational teacher training. Her work bridges theoretical foundations with practical applications, particularly in integrating adult education principles into vocational training curricula. She has pioneered the application of the Delphi method in Hungarian andragogy research and has contributed significantly to understanding the differences between pedagogy and andragogy.

Her publication record demonstrates consistent scholarly output with significant impact, particularly her 2002 book 'A felnőttek tanulása és oktatása – új felfogásban' which received 60 independent citations. Her recent work examines European educational policy frameworks, theoretical developments in post-millennium andragogy, and practical innovations in vocational education.
