Álvaro Balsas

Álvaro Balsas is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences, University of Coimbra, and a researcher at the Center for Philosophical and Humanistic Studies (CEFH). His work bridges philosophy, science, and religion, with a focus on topics like causality, determinism, and the philosophy of nature.

• Research Interests: Philosophy of Nature, Metaphysics, Science-Religion Dialogue, Seventeenth Century Thought, Causality, Evolutionary Philosophy, Reductionism.
