Áine Humble

Áine M. Humble is a Professor in Family Studies and Gerontology at Mount Saint Vincent University. She holds a PhD from Oregon State University with a minor in Women's Studies, complemented by degrees in Home Economics and Family Life Education. Her research examines family dynamics, same-sex relationships, LGBT aging, and qualitative methodologies.

Her recent work includes publications on qualitative data analysis techniques and the impact of COVID-19 on mothers' social support systems. She has received the Anselm Strauss Award for Qualitative Family Research and the Wiley Prize in Family Science for her scholarly contributions.
