Dr. Ali Bazzi is the Madonna Professor in Power Engineering at the University of Connecticut (UConn), within the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) and B.E./M.E. degrees from the American University of Beirut (AUB). He co-founded Valcon Labs Inc., a deep-tech startup focused on aircraft electrification, and previously worked at Delphi Corp. and Bitrode Corporation. His research focuses on fault-tolerant power electronics, electric motor drives, renewable energy integration (solar/wind), and WBG semiconductor applications.
