Tijana Parezanović is an Associate Professor at the Faculty for Foreign Languages of Alfa BK Univerzitet in Belgrade, where she has worked since 2009. She holds a PhD in English Language and Literature from the University of Belgrade (2015) and a degree in English Language and Literature from the University of Belgrade (2007). She has served as an executive editor for [sic] and as a member of the editorial board for Reči , and is an accredited reviewer for the National Accreditation Body (since 2022). PhD: University of Belgrade, "Mitske strukture u australijskoj poeziji od 1890. do 1960. godine" (2015) MA: University of Belgrade, English Language and Literature (2007) Her research focuses on Modern Anglophone Literature , particularly postcolonial narratives, urban studies, and translation ethics. She has published extensively on topics ranging from heterotopian spaces in popular culture to metonymic metaphors in modernist novels. Her 2019 monograph Terra Australis: Mitopoetika pripadanja and 2023 textbook Osnovi prevođenja za angliste are key contributions to her field. Her scholarly work spans translations, edited volumes, and peer-reviewed articles analyzing urban spaces in literature, cultural memory in postcolonial contexts, and ethical considerations in literary translation. She has presented at international conferences in Finland, Ireland, Croatia, and Montenegro, including on topics like tourist heterotopias and deconstructing conventions in postmodern novels. Her translation portfolio includes works by J.G. Ballard, Joyce Carol Oates, and Lisa See. Tijana is a member of the European Society for the Study of English , the Association for Literary Urban Studies , and the Association of Serbian Translators . She co-developed the accredited teacher training program "Upotreba književnih sadržaja u nastavi engleskog jezika" and maintains active collaborations with scholars like Marko Lukić and Milan Marković.
